The scent of the petunias in my garden is something I look forward to each summer. I wanted to capture their vibrancy in a print so I could incorporate their beauty in my textile projects and enjoy them all year round.
This gentle blossom pink design will bring joy to your projects.
Some of the images show a panel that I added some embroidery to, I then used half the panel to make up a drawstring bag. I used a simple seed stitch in a fine embroidery thread, the flowers bloom beautifully with a little colour. Choose your favourite colours and you have an easy project to work on in the evenings. This fabric panel is ideal for handmade projects, such as cushions and bags, or mix it up with other fabrics and create an original quilt or cushion cover.
The linen and linen / cotton blend fabrics are best for embroidering into as they have a looser weave and wonderful texture.

- heat set and fully washable at 30 degrees, iron on a warm setting on reverse of print
printed on a choice of basecloth:
- white 100% cotton which is smooth and perfect for quilts
- white 54% linen / 46% cotton blend which has the beautiful texture of medium weight linen
- natural coloured 100% linen
All three fabrics are shown in the last image.
Hand screen printed in my London studio. Small imperfections may be present, these will be minor and part of the beauty of buying handprinted fabrics.
Some shrinkage will occur after washing, this is a feature of natural fibres, please allow for this or prewash before using in your projects.
